Taco Bell is a chain of Mexican-style restaurants that serves a variety of food items and beverages. Most of its restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees. It has restaurants in Canada, Guam, Aruba, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Ecuador and the Philippines. Taco Bell serves community youths through the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens. Its holding company, Taco Bell Corporation, was founded in 1962 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yum! Brands. Taco Bell Corporation employs more than 143,000 people and generates sales revenue of over $1.8 billion through company-owned and nearly $4.4 billion through franchised restaurants.
