Washtenaw Community College

Jackson Community College has been operational for more than 75 years. Founded as Jackson Junior College, it is one of the leading providers of secondary education in the United States. The college enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. Jackson Community College provides vocational training, work force and community development classes, contract education programs, advanced computer and science centers, and several cultural and recreational activities. The college also provides various assistance services, such as telephone registration, academic and personal counseling, financial aid services, international student services, re-entry services, sports counseling, disabled students programs and services, assessment, and career and transfer assistance. Located in Jackson, Mich., its library houses more than more than 1 million items, including bound volumes, microforms, nonbook materials, federal and state documents, and periodicals and journals.
