Since 1925, the Veterans Of Foreign Wars National Home For Children has been providing for the children and families of war veterans, while at the same time serving as a living memorial to those who have served in the military. Services for children are available at the VFW National Home for Children when the child s parent, grandparent, or great grandparent is, or if deceased, at the time of death was a member in good standing of the Veterans of Foreign wars or Ladies Auxiliary, and the child s custodian cannot provide an adequate home for the child. Services are also available for children of active duty military service personnel, regardless of current VFW membership or eligibility, who are not able to provide adequate care for their children through the approved family plan arrangement.
