Dr. Panthangi is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has also completed a fellowship in Geriatrics at the University of Michigan. Geriatricians are primary care physicians who are board-certified in either family medicine or internal medicine and have also acquired the additional training necessary to obtain the Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in geriatric medicine. Geriatrics is the branch of medicine that focuses on health promotion and the prevention and treatment of disease and disability in later life. Dr. Panthangi completed her family practice residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center and spent a portion of her residency at Masonic Medical Center. Dr. Panthangi will also be a clinical instructor for the Department of Family Medicine at St. John Hospital and Medical Center.
