History

I've been photographing people in a professional setting for over ten years, beginning in 2003. I started out in a portrait studio immediately after graduating high school. During this period I was also attending college with a major in fine art photography. A friend asked me to photograph their wedding and immediately I was hooked. After leaving the portrait studio I freelanced as a portrait and wedding photographer for a few years before deciding that it was something I really, really wanted to continue doing as a career. In 2008 I began marketing myself as The Photo Chick, and every year since I've continued to experience growth in my business. I've also grown as a photographer and I spend a lot of time educating myself as much as possible about new techniques, technologies, and business practices.
