Bethlehem Lutheran Church offers services for adults that include Sunday morning worship, Sunday school, Bible classes, Monday night worship, Wednesday worship and Holy Communions. The youth ministry provides Super Bowl subs, Sunday morning services, fellowship activities, Bible study, puzzle club and a quarterly publication by the name of Mission Friends. Bethlehem provides a range of memorial funds to which one can designate a donation in memory of a loved one. These funds include adult Bible study, Braille Center, building and site improvements, Christmas decorations, church office equipment, church and school carpeting, elevator maintenance, endowments, library, media ministries, outreach materials, professional development, public address system, school computer technology and scholarship. The Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy is an educational institution that offers a range of learning and extracurricular opportunities for students. The academy has an annual enrollment of more than 580 students. It serves students in grades 6 through 12. The Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy s academic curriculum includes science, mathematics, and language and visual arts. The academy supports the National Junior Honor Society, as well as has chess, pep and shi clubs. It offers opportunities for students to participate in various sports activities, such as football, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, swimming, and track and field. The Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy also maintains a student-parent advisory council. It administers gifted and talented education programs for students with special needs. Herig Elementary School is an educational institution that provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to more than 300 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It offers educational classes in language arts, math and English. The school provides an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide reading practices and help students in improving reading abilities. It offers a range of athletic activities that includes football, basketball, hockey, soccer and softball. Herig Elementary School also organizes parent-teacher conferences. It has a library media center that supports the academic curriculum and assists students in the use of current and appropriate information. The school is located in Saginaw, Mich.
