Steven L. Marvin entered the cosmetology industry in 1978. Steven started his quest for the perfect salon & spa by taking over what was once called The Happening Studio of Hair Design in 1983. The vision for Steven L. Marvin & Wellness Spa was born. Now with a booming Aveda concept salon & spa for 25 years, Steven has been featured in newspapers and magazines for innovative ideas in hair cutting and salon design. Our salon & spa work as a team. All team members' are skill certified before rendering services on guests. A new level is achieved through continuing education and skill certification. Education through Aveda and in-salon coaches assists our team members in reaching new levels and creating and perfecting the latest trends. This process provides consistency and reliability for our guests. Our guests may request any stylist at any time. Our spa offers a full menu of services including personalized facials, full body waxing, body treatments, massages, and a state of the art Vichy shower. All of our estheticians also receive ongoing education through our Aveda coaches. Steven believes in giving back to the community as often as possible. We are supporters of many local charities including Project Day Maker ( a mobile home that travels to cut hair for the homeless ), sponsorship in Relay for Life ( breast cancer awareness ) CAPS ( child abuse prevention ), Lansing Food Bank, Council against Domestic Assault, and Locks of Love. Along with local charities Steven & his staff help with the local theater and performing arts.
