Sparks Athletics

History

The Sparks began when coach Brittany Gessner, as the cheer coach for Northview HS, and squad members had a desire to enter competitions. The young men joined at the encourgement of the girls because with the guy's strength the team would be able to enter coed competition divisions. The first National Competition was at COA in Jacksonville, Florida in March of 2000. The team finished 6th.

Sparks Athletics is an All Star cheerleading and tumbling gym. Our prices, experience, and safety certified staff can't be beat!! Our coaches have physical education degrees, safety certification, and first aid training. Now featuring a 42x54 spring floor, five panel flexi-floor, Olympic size trampoline, viewing area with TV viewing of all practice areas, locker room, and staffed offices. Classes and Private lessons are available for tumbling, partner stunting, and all-girl stunting. Please call for availability and pricing. Whether you are looking for competitive cheer or tumbling classes, Sparks is the place to be! Our teams compete from level 1 through level 6. Our teams have competed at the D2 Summit and are Summit Finalists!
