The Shepherd Sugar Bush, located in Shepherd, Michigan, is the maple syrup producing section of the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival. Established in 1958, this volunteer project taps the maples lining the streets of Shepherd to collect sap, which is then boiled into maple syrup in their Sugar Bush building on N. Third St.
Every year, the Shepherd Sugar Bush hosts an open house during the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival, where visitors can enjoy guided tours of the saphouse, witness the process of sap being transformed into maple syrup, and purchase a variety of maple products. Best Maple Syrup in the north ! I absolutely cannot get enough of the products from Sugar Bush Corp. At times it can be hard to track down where these products are sold, but they are worth it!
