Sheila Rao, MD - Cornerstone-Lakeview Pediatrics-St Clair Shores

Dr. Sheila Rao is a board certified primary care pediatrician working at Lakeview's offices in St.Clair Shores and Macomb Township. She graduated from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in India, and completed her pediatric residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in 2004. She obtained her certification with the American Board of Pediatrics in 2004, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rao was featured in Metro Parent magazine's "Mom-Approved Docs" in 2012. She has special interest in ADHD, asthma, allergies and infant/adolescent care. She is an instructor for the newborn parenting class "Meet the Pediatrician", at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Rao was in private practice on the west side of town prior to joining Lakeview Pediatrics in 2006. She is on staff at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. Lakeview Pediatrics is a group practice of nine board-certified pediatricians, providing quality health care for infants, children and young adults from birth to 21 years of age. We encourage parents to choose a primary physician for their child's well care, but understand that in the case of same-day sick visits you will be able to see an alternate physician. We pride ourselves in providing personal and friendly care while keeping abreast of the most current advances in pediatric health. We also have registered nurses who are very experienced in the health care of children and are happy to assist our parents and patients over the telephone whenever possible.
