Schools Of Choice

The Flint Schools of Choice is an alternative educational institution that provides academic services to students. Operational for more than 30 years, it offers educational services for at-risk children. Located in Flint, Mich., the institution enrolls more than 500 students that include pregnant teens, ninth graders and high school children. The Flint Schools of Choice employs a staff of teachers, paraprofessionals, administration personnel, counselors, case workers, secretaries and elective specialists. It conducts classes in various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. The institution enrolls students in grades seven through 12 and also offers learning sessions in business technology. In addition, the Flint Schools of Choice s curriculum includes field studies, internships and mentoring. It offers special services for students with special adjustment needs. The institution is a part of Flint Community Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
