Specializing in children's hair cuts, our barbers cater to the youngest members of your family. Our first time hair cut customers receive a wonderful family keepsake, a special certificate with a lock of their baby hair. A golf set, suckers and a penny bubble gum machine keep our youngest customers busy while the rest of the family gets their hair cut We also love and respect our fabulous senior customers who enrich our lives with their words of wisdom. Sands Barber Shop has had the privilege of donating to the WWII Honor Flight Program allowing our veterans to visit the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC. Many of our customers have participated in this program. As owner and operator of Sands Barber Shop for 11 years, Bonnie Bourque retains its 60 years of history in quality service to her customers and community. Originally owned by Jack Devareaux in 1944 and later by Fred Alessandri, Sands Barber Shop has allowed Bonnie to be active in her local Optimist Club where she was named Optimist of the year in 2008. Bonnie has also served on the board of the local Y.W.C.A. and supports the Royal Oak Boys and Girls Club of South Oakland County. She also is an avid supporter of the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce. Voted the Best Barber Shop by the Detroit News Reader's Poll in 2008. Our three skilled barbers listen to you and give you the quality cut you expect.
