Writing on the ceiling. Crooked floors. Most bars don’t have that kind of character, but most also don’t have the same hometown feel that Rousseau Bar does. A lot of great memories have been made here since we opened our doors in 1936, and we’re proud to still be a place where Mass City locals, tourists -- anyone really -- can gather around great friends and good drinks. Our small but hearty menu offers appetizers and many delicious burger options along with plenty of cold beer and cocktails served by the best bartenders ever. We know how to have a good time, plain and simple. And no matter where you are, it’s never too far to the Rousseau Bar.

Very cool backwoods bar in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Well worth the drive to check it out! Established in 1936 and still going strong.

Quaint little bar in the middle of nowhere, you sneeze and you will miss it. Friday's fish fry is excellent! Good food cheap drinks equals a good night.

I have to say,of all the stops we had in 6 days Rousseau Bar was the BEST. Down home bar with great food. We felt like we've been there a hundred times and we're treated the same. Angie and Amy...
