Ver Duin's Inc was founded in 1931 by Claude Ver Duin. Claude published the Fisherman Magazine, the trade journal to the commercial fishing industry in Michigan. Claude's wife Fern Ver Duin later started the advertising arm of Ver Duin's Inc with the help and expertise of her father Olaf Gylleck.
