Resource Recovery Corporation, established over 20 years ago by 15 West Michigan foundries, aims to reduce the cost of foundry process residuals through innovative recycling methods and collaborative disposal volume negotiations. Since its inception, RRC has successfully recycled or reused more than a million tons of foundry process residuals, significantly cutting management costs by two thirds.

Beginning operations in 1991, the company initially utilized foundry sand as daily cover for landfills and has since expanded its capabilities to include the processing of spent mold and core sand and slag for various applications, including asphalt and concrete production. RRC's commitment to finding safe and sustainable uses for foundry residuals has led to a range of end products including aggregate ballast, scrap metals, and water treatment media.
