History

In a bold career move, Michael decided to establish an arts center and creative hub called PlaySpace in the heart of Detroit in 2016. He built this business from the ground up, hiring a dream team of artists and educators to provide an engrossing learning experience. Michael is passionate about providing communities with innovative music and arts education, interactive events and a safe space to learn and relate through doing. As a business owner and socially conscious entrepreneur, Michael began PlaySpace as a tool for social change, communal enrichment and dream fulfillment. Through artist residencies, innovative curricula and technological innovation, connections and collaborations are fostered. In its first year alone, the center has hosted dozens of events and workshops, recording sessions and arts collaborations. Looking toward the future, Michael is driven in transforming the creation and performance of art and music, making it truly democratic and available to all.

PlaySpace is a safe learning and performing space for everyone to explore their passions and realize their dreams.
