Kitchel Lindquist Hartger Dunes Preserve is a 115-acre sanctuary located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, featuring unique freshwater dune ecology, forests, and wetlands. Established in 1971 through a generous donation by local citizens, the preserve is dedicated to education, research, and conservation, and is currently managed by the City of Ferrysburg.
