Woollam Family Nature Preserve is a 69-acre nature preserve located in Cross Village, MI. With over 3,300 feet of frontage on Lake Michigan, the preserve offers stunning views of the lake and a sandy shoreline. The property features a diverse landscape, including mature beech-maple hardwoods and mixed upland conifers, making it a haven for a variety of plant and animal species. A short trail leads visitors through the hilly woods to the beach, providing a peaceful and scenic experience.

Named after the John and Cyndi Woollam family, the preserve was purchased with their funding and is the largest remaining undeveloped and unprotected parcel on Lake Michigan in Emmet County. It is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, providing community access to the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. Dogs and horses are not allowed at the preserve due to nesting birds, ensuring the protection of the natural habitat.
