Monroe County Opportunity Program (MCOP) is a private, non-profit corporation established in 1965 under the Economic Opportunity Act. As part of the national network of Community Action Agencies, MCOP aims to reduce the effects of poverty by empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and mobilizing resources. From providing housing assistance to low-income veterans and offering foreclosure prevention counseling to administering low-income household water assistance programs, MCOP is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of low-income individuals and families in Monroe County.
