History

Marvin Blackford has been living in the Lake Ann area since 1970. He has been growing vegetables and selling them locally since then. For years he had a dream of opening a farm market, and for years we all said no. Then one day, Marvin's Garden Spot was born. Apparently, he knew what the people wanted, because our customers love us and always tell us how glad they are that we are here for them. We have teamed up with several local fruit growers, to be able to provide a wide array of local fruits and vegetables throughout the growing season. We have everything from Asparagus to Zucchini, Apples to Tomatoes, and more. We sell in small quantities and large quantities, so if you need to can stuff, we've got it in bulk for you! A couple years after the market opened, Marv and Marcia, his wife, decided that they were going to start selling plants. We now have a HUGE selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs, hanging baskets, and veggie plants each year. Stop in to our local market!

Specialties

We specialize in local fruits, vegetables, perennials, and lots of other great items. We have local maple syrup, local honey, Smeltzer's Dried Cherries, and so much more. Come check us out!
