Rockwell Transportation is a subsidiary of Rockwell Medical Technologies, which was founded with four employees in 1995. After becoming a public company, it launched two products, Dri-Sate Dry Acid Concentrate and SteriLyte Liquid Bicarbonate. Both products were advancements over the technology in the industry at the time, which made a positive and immediate impact in the dialysis provider market. In 2001, the company opened a bigger manufacturing facility in Grapevine, Texas, which was designed to streamline manufacturing and distribution of all Rockwell products. In 2005, a 60,000-square-foot facility in Hodges, S.C., enabled the company to expand its influence in the Southeastern United States. Rockwell Transportation maintains a location in Wixom, Mich.
