Mediation Tribunal Association
The Mediation Tribunal Association (MTA) is the largest provider of court-mandated case evaluation services in Michigan, founded in 1979 by the Chief Judge of the Third Circuit Court. Offering services for the Wayne County Circuit Court and various district courts, the MTA evaluated over 6,700 cases in 2015 through a roster of more than 1,500 approved evaluators.
In addition to case evaluations, the MTA manages a selection of general civil and domestic relations mediators under the Wayne County Circuit Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution Plan. By providing crucial resources such as a case database for attorneys and pro se litigants, the association reinforces its commitment to effective dispute resolution across the state.
