Mark Sobor, Md

History

Dr. Sobor completed medical school at Warsaw Medical Academy in Warsaw, Poland and completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, Illinois in 1988. After developing early osteoarthritis in his knees, a physician successfully treated his knee pain with medical acupuncture. This ignited Dr. Sobor's desire to learn more about acupuncture and other alternative pain management treatments. He opened SOMA Medical Clinic in Chicago in 1992 and SOMA Pain Management Center in Glenview in 2008 to put his philosophy into practice. In 2013, Dr. Sobor joined South Haven Health System where he practiced at the Alternative Pain Medicine office until 2016 when he opened his own private practice in South Haven, MI. He is board certified by the American Academy of Family Practice and a member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
