Kent Vocational Options

Kent Vocational Options, also known as KVO, is a public school, center-based special education program. The program serves young adults between the ages of 17 and 26 with developmental disabilities. It serves more than 80 students. Kent Vocational Options serves students with autism and moderate and severe cognitive impairments. The program provides instruction that will prepare each student for their transition to adult life experiences. Its curriculum focuses on areas, such as vocational training and community integration and functional daily living skills. It is administered by Grand Rapids Public Schools, which operates several elementary and middle schools, as well as early childhood education centers.
