Once again voted BEST BREAKFAST in Traverse City in 2023, J&S Hamburg Downtown is a classic, American, Diner and is one of the the oldest restaurants in Traverse City! We are a locals favorite since 1938. J&S Hamburg provides mouth-watering, hand-dipped shakes, flat-top burgers, the best Reuben you'll ever have, wonderful Omelets, skin on fries, onion rings, homemade chili, signature western hashbrowns, cakes, pastries and more! We are open from 7:30AM-2:00PM Friday-Tuesday. We have abundant patio seating in the spring, summer, and fall and are dog friendly. Come by and experience Traverse City's authentic, original, 1930's Diner!
