The Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum in Mackinaw City, MI is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the United States Coast Guard ICEBREAKER MACKINAW WAGB-83, known as the Queen of the Great Lakes and the largest icebreaker on the Great Lakes.
Visitors can explore the ship and learn about its 62-year career of breaking ice on the Great Lakes, as well as its role as a goodwill ambassador in the region. The museum features informative displays and knowledgeable tour guides, allowing visitors to experience the Mess Deck, Captains Quarters, Bridge, Engine Room, Ward Room, Sick Bay, and more.

I LOVE a good boat tour, especially one of the Coast Guard. I had this tour on my radar before I went up for vacation, and figured if I had time I would cruise through here for a quick look....

If you are a Boatnerd or just interested in all things maritime, this is a great stop. Admission price is $11 per person and worth every penny in my opinion. You get to tour many different areas...
