How Sweet It Is Fudge & Candy Company

History

Our candy making journey began in 1992 at the local county fair. Our founder Joe Cusenza started with a simple setup consisting of a marble table, candy stove, and copper kettle. Joe toured the country stopping at local county fairs and festivals. In 1994, the decision was made to establish a family owned and operated store front in West Branch, Michigan. Joe along with his wife Patty, and the family founded How Sweet It Is Fudge and Candy Company! Joe continued to tour county fairs and festivals and tell everyone about our new store called, How Sweet It Is Fudge & Candy Company! In 1997 we opened a second location in East Lansing, Michigan. It was then that we began to develop items that could be sold directly to retailers to place on their counter tops. Our first item offered for wholesale were chocolate covered pretzel rods, quickly followed by our famous Peanut Butter Buckeyes. Today we are proud to say we have over twenty counter top items that we wholesale from coast to coast.

How Sweet It Is specializes in chocolate items and sweets. Our product line includes: no-bake cookies, peanut butter buckeyes, handmade fudge, sea salt caramels, truffles & creams, and cotton candy. We also specialize in special order sweets such as wedding favors, gift baskets and kits made of chocolate.
