Gym America

Gym America, the Ann Arbor area's premier Olympic-style gymnastics school, was founded in 1979 by the husband and wife team of Ed and Claudia Kretschmer. The couple has a passion for coaching and experience as competitive collegiate athletes at the University of Florida, Claudia as a varsity gymnast and Ed as a varsity pole-vaulter and decathlete. Owners Ed and Claudia are the directors at Gym America and the head coaches for the girls' competitive teams. With their commitment to excellence, Gym America has grown from its humble beginning in a small warehouse, to a gymnastics-specific facility that is completely air-conditioned and fully equipped with state-of-the-art gymnastics and safety equipment. Throughout 30 years of working with kids, Gym America's philosophy has always been to offer the finest quality instruction for every age and level in the program. From preschoolers to recreational gymnasts to USAG national and international competitors, Gym America does it all.
