HistoryWe are a totally renovated indoor/outdoor gardening store that has been in the making for the past three years! In 2012 when we acquired the building it was condemned! Since then we have transformed an otherwise soon to be demolished and just another useless piece of commercial property into what you see today! When Walgreens on Capitol Ave closed we were quick to purchase, recycle, and reuse any shelving and equipment we could before what was left went to the scrap yard. We like to keep things local and used any resources available from our community. Thanks to places like Mix Hardware, Lowes, and Menards of battle creek we created Great Lakes Grow Store! You might not be able to teach an old dog new tricks (so they say) but I do believe you can make something old look new but we couldn't have done it with out the help and support of friends, family, and our community!
