Grosse Pointe War Memorial is housed on the shores of Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. The memorial serves as a center for enrichment in honor of war veterans. It is designated as a state and national historic site and is used for a variety of programs that focus on dance, art, music, theatre, health and enrichment. Additionally, it offers a number of children's and youth programs. The war memorial also creates and hosts special programs that promote patriotism and preserve veteran legacies. It hosts more than 2,000 functions annually and serves more than a hundred thousand individuals. The institution receives no tax support and is a charitable organization. It is based in Grosse Pointe, Mich.
