The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy (GTRLC) is committed to protecting significant natural, scenic, and farmland across the region, advancing stewardship efforts for future generations. Since its establishment in 1991, GTRLC has successfully preserved over 48,436 acres of land, including 126 miles of trails and 157 miles of shoreline, rivers, and lakes.

With a mission focused on conservation and community engagement, GTRLC offers numerous volunteer opportunities and actively works on various land protection projects, such as the recent initiative at The Ridge in East Bay Township. Their efforts not only enhance ecological integrity but also create spaces for passive recreation and enjoyment for the public.
