Founded in 1991, Amerigon is engaged in providing thermoelectric technologies to the automotive and consumer markets. The company supplies active heating and cooling systems for automotive seating: climate control seats and micro-thermal module seats. Amerigon has spent more than eight years developing its technologies by analyzing general seat structure and design; thermoelectric device technology and design; and airflow management and blower design. Amerigon s subsidiary, BSST, is engaged in developing thermoelectric devices and has development contracts with several partners to expand the market for these devices in the automotive and non-automotive industries. Amerigon is headquartered in Dearborn, Mich., and maintains sales and technical support centers in Los Angeles, Detroit, Japan, Germany and England.
