Every Woman's Place

Every Woman's Place is a crisis center for women and their children. It offers services, such as shelter, counseling, advocacy, transitional housing and employment and training. Its shelter services include support groups, substance abuse counseling, positive parenting skills training, child advocacy and emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The center s services for children include domestic violence therapy, community outreach in schools and dating violence program. Located in Muskegon, Mich., the center also operates a service unit for youth. Additionally, it provides volunteer opportunities, including college internships, volunteer crisis aide, foster grandparent and volunteer mentors. Every Woman's Place is supported by a variety of funding sources, including individual donors and federal grants.
