New Horizons Rehabilitation Services is a nonprofit rehabilitation agency providing vocational training and job placement services and has been operational for 40 years. It has various locations in Michigan, including one in Auburn Hills. The center focuses on preparing people with various physical impairments for employment and providing job and personal skills for their own long-term success. It works for the individuals diagnosed with mental impairments and illnesses, physical disorders, blindness, hearing impairment, suffering from learning disorders, industrially injured, traumatically brain injured and long-term unemployed. The center offers various types of assessments and evaluations, such as vocational and community site assessments, interest and aptitude, academic and work keys testing. In addition, New Horizons Rehabilitation Services provides a wide range of training options that include community work experience, facility based work programs, supported employment, computer-based classes and personal and social adjustment programs.
