Ketamine is offered for mood disorders, PTSD, and complex trauma. A low dose infusion approach is used, with there being little altered states of consciousness or dissociation occurring. Psychotherapy occurs during the infusion period by a psychotherapist who works to both rid the patient of trauma recall and increase the flexibility of fixations.
