Eastern Michigan grain is a full service elevator specializing in grain handling, marketing, seed, chemicals, and fertilizer. EMG is based on the philosophy of providing premier customer service. We believe that profit starts on the farm and if we treat people the way we like to be treated, success will come naturally.EMG's greatest asset is its staff. Our staff of 9 is dedicated to the success of our clients. EMG has 3 Certified Crop Advisors ( CCA ) on staff. We regularly invest in continuing education and place a high priority in surfacing those practices which will improve our customer's profitability.Dan Lauwers, CCA, General Manager: Dan comes from a family farm. He holds a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University in Agricultural Economics. He has worked as a congressional assistant, lobbyist for National Milk and agricultural program director for the Kellogg Foundation. He has worked in management and equipment sales at Tri-County John Deere. He earned a Bachelors degree from Central Michigan University in Production Operations Management. He came to EMG in 1998. He has been facility manger and custom applicator.
