Rochester Community Schools Transportation department provides transport services to more than 10,000 students per day to and from school. In addition to it the department provides transportation to athletic contests, academic field trips, shuttles between schools and to community based instruction sites. It also provides bus services to various schools within the Rochester Community Schools district and special education schools and programs outside the district. Its buses travel more than 1,500 miles daily from Michigan to Texas. The staff of the transportation department includes state-certified bus drivers, transportation assistants for special needs routes, master mechanics certified by automotive certified excellence and garage attendants. It is located in Rochester Hills, Mich.
