The DTE Energy Foundation Trail, located in Lyndon Township, Michigan, is a newly completed 20-mile mountain bike trail system in the Waterloo Recreation Area. Spearheaded by the Potowatomi Mountain Biking Association (PotoMBA) and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), this epic trail system offers four loops of varying difficulty, with the potential for a fifth loop in the future. Supported by the community and mountain biking enthusiasts, the trail was funded by the DTE Energy Foundation and offers a thrilling outdoor adventure for bikers of all skill levels.
With the first loop completed in 2016 and subsequent loops finished in 2017, 2018, and 2019, the DTE Energy Foundation Trail showcases the dedication and collaboration of PotoMBA, MDNR, and the generous donors who made this project possible. Maintained through ongoing fundraising efforts, this trail system promises an exhilarating experience amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Waterloo Recreation Area.
