Downriver Central Animal Control (DCAC) is a collaborative effort among Southgate, Allen Park, and Wyandotte in Michigan. The DCAC's animal shelter serves as the intake facility, holding animals until space is available at Wyandotte's adoption center. Animal Control Officers work with the Michigan Humane Society and are certified in euthanasia when necessary. Follow the DCAC's Facebook page for updates on available animals for adoption.

The Wyandotte Adoption Center is the main adoption facility, where all adoptions are handled. All dogs and cats, including puppies and kittens, are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on shots, and tested for heartworm. Visit the Southgate facility during office hours or apply for adoption online through the DCAC's Adopt-A-Pet page.
