De Pree Art Center & Gallery
The De Pree Art Center and Gallery, renovated from a former furniture factory in 1982, features a gallery, sculpture court, senior art studios, classroom studios, and faculty offices. Named after Hugh De Pree, former chair of the Hope College Board of Trustees, the facility combines modern amenities with the historical craftsmanship of its original structure, supporting various artistic disciplines such as painting, drawing, ceramics, and photography.
Hosting six exhibitions annually, including the Juried Student Art Show and the Senior Show, the De Pree Gallery has gained national recognition for its multicultural exhibitions. Additionally, Cook Auditorium within the center serves as a venue for numerous visiting artists and guest speakers, enriching the cultural landscape of the college and community.
