Established in 1943, DAPCO Industries specializes in the supply of component parts to the small engine industry. It provides fuel fittings, valves and other parts for small engines, including outboard motors, snowmobiles, motorcycles, personal watercraft and lawn care equipment. Based in Dexter, Mich., the firm operates in a state-of-the-art 90,000 square foot facility, serving different industries, including agriculture, construction equipment, hydrostatic transmissions, garden equipment, precision machined products and outboard marine. DAPCO Industries has expertise in other services, such as resistance, ultrasonic and laser welding, induction brazing, atmosphere brazing, induction heat treating, soft soldering and annealing. It also offers insert molding for pump cylinders, shafts, electrical terminals and tubing, fabrication services for parts to be drilled, milled, tapped or broached, thread rolled, honed, ground, coined or de-burred. An ISO 9001:2008 registered firm, it utilizes a variety of materials in the injection molding department, including nylon type 66, acetel, glass filled nylon, stanyl and polyethylene.
