Cosens Martial Arts was opened in January of 2009 by Owner, Charlie Cosens, of Bay City, MI. During the first 2 years of operation our school focused on developing Mixed Martial Art competitors. Cosens MMA’s owner, Charlie Cosens, has trained and competed world wide including Thailand and Brazil and shares his knowledge with his staff and students. Cosens Martial Arts now caters to the entire family offering Life Skill based youth programs which focus on teaching students important life skills, such as focus, control and discipline. These programs are now offered in four different locations: Mt. Pleasant, Saginaw, Bay City and Midland. Students are taught a variety of “Real Life” applicable arts ranging from Muay Thai Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Western Style Boxing, Krav Maga, Karate, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu,and Judo. Adult students come to Cosens Martial Arts for many reasons including fitness, self defense, stress relief, or even just to start a new hobby. The comradery of Cosens Martial Art’s adult program is what sets them apart from other studios and activities.
