HistoryOn September 1, 1880, Fr. Aegidius Smulders purchased four acres of land on which to build a church and school. The first frame church and rectory were completed in 1881 and the first elementary school was completed in 1882. In 1896 a new church was begun and the old church was converted into more classrooms for the school.SpecialtiesMission Statement: Holy Redeemer Grade School is an urban Catholic grade school, fully accredited by the Michigan Non-Public School Accrediting Association.
