Community Mental Health Service

Community Mental Health Services, located in Muskegon, Mich., is a public provider of services for people with developmental disabilities and serious mental illness. It provides service under a managed care contract with the state of Michigan, Department of Community Health. Its programs and activities are governed by a board of directors and its services are available to residents of the community who have Medicaid or are uninsured, and are eligible for services as defined by the Michigan Mental Health Code. Community Mental Health Services provides various services, such as speech, hearing and language therapies, medication administration, physical and occupational therapies, crisis intervention, and psychological rehabilitation.

The Southwest Clinic provides outpatient behavioral health services, including counseling, therapy and psychiatric services for children, adolescents, adults, older adults and families. Concerns addressed include depression, anxiety, addiction and substance use, postpartum depression and anxiety, anger, grief, marital and relationship issues, divorce, trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder, parent/child conflict, spiritul concerns and stress management.
