Cindy Wagner, Ma, LLP

Mark Hamilton received his bachelor of arts in psychology and social psychology, and a master of arts in counseling psychology from from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. In addition his education includes Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse from Western Michigan University. Mark is a licensed psychologist, certified addictions counselor, and holds a graduate certificate in alcohol and drug abuse. He provides consultation and specialized therapy services to adults, couples, adolescents and families. Mark’s therapeutic approach is one of providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can discuss their problems free of judgement and criticism. He believes the answers to one’s problems often arise through gentle exploration of life’s challenges, and the new meanings we make out of them. Through guidance, collaboration, and identification of one’s own tools of coping; new discoveries often arise in therapy to help one creatively get through life’s struggles in new and more rewarding ways. Specialty areas of treatment include: depressive disorders, anxiety and stress management issues, substance use and process addictions, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, anger management, and PTSD and complex PTSD-related symptoms. He is a licensed psychologist, certified addictions counselor and holds a graduate certificate in alcohol and drug abuse. Hamilton joined Oaklawn in 2019.

Shirley Martinez received her undergraduate degree from Albion College and her Master’s Degree in Psychology from University of Detroit-Mercy. She specializes in E.M.D.R. therapy for trauma, psychological testing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for individuals. Ms. Martinez specializes in treating adults that are coping with chronic illness, anxiety related disorders and mood disorders. Martinez joined the Oaklawn staff in 1998.

Brielle McDougall received an associates degree in science and applied art from Delta Community College in Bay City, MI., and went on to Central Michigan University to obtain her bachelor of science degree in public health education and health promotion. She then graduated from Central Michigan University’s physician assistant program. Her past experience includes working as a physician assistant in outpatient mental health for Henry Ford Allegiance. McDougall is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. McDougall joined Oaklawn in 2019.
