Established in 1919, Child and Family Services of the Upper Peninsula is a private, nonprofit organization that provides a range of services for individuals and families. It offers various in-home, child welfare, prevention and community services. The agency administers specialized foster care, adoption, family outreach, supportive housing, homeless prevention and after-school programs. Child and Family Services of the Upper Peninsula s supportive housing program includes provision of safe and stable living environment, life-skills training and referral services. It also conducts a family support program that assists families in the areas of child and household management, crisis and safety planning, education, and stress and anger management skills. Additionally, the agency provides a variety of crisis intervention, assessment, juvenile justice, and individual and family counseling services.
