Caseville Community Food Pantry

The Caseville Community Food Pantry, established in 2010 through the leadership of Teresa Calkins and local partnerships, provides vital food assistance to individuals in need within its service area. Operating entirely with the help of volunteers, the pantry has created a structured and supportive environment that encourages community involvement and collaboration.

In response to the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the pantry adapted its services by implementing a drive-up food distribution model, dramatically increasing its outreach from serving 80 clients a month to over 300 families. This innovative approach, supported by partnerships with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, has enabled the pantry to efficiently provide food at a significantly reduced cost, ensuring that those in need receive essential assistance.
