Darrell’s Market was originally founded in 1945 as a small country grocery store by Darrell Gavin on the southwest corner of Columbia & Aurelius roads (currently the Thriftway Building across from our current location). Ten years later due to Darrell’s illness, his son Jim Blauvelt left college to manage the store in his place.
