History

Our practice began as Smoke Family Vision Center when the husband and wife team of Drs Steven and Brenda Smoke purchased an existing practice in Buchanan, MI. After 3 years they opened a second location in New Buffalo, MI and then 5 years ago purchased the practice of their friend and colleague, Dr Fred Mathews upon his retirement in Dowagiac MI. The practice has been growing and caring for eyes ever since. We are dedicated to building relationships with our patients and our community.

With locations in Buchanan, Dowagiac and New Buffalo and evening and weekend hours we are available when and where you need us. We provide comprehensive eye health and vision care, contact lenses, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, urgent care for eye infections and eye injuries. We have a full service optical department with a grand selection of eyewear and sunwear. We fill outside prescriptions as well. We are providers with many insurances and will assist you in maximixing your inusurance benefits and filing your claims.
