Bedford Township

Located in Temperance, Mich., Bedford Township Hall is a place for the collection of a variety of payments, such as property taxes, water and sewer bills and housing rehabilitation loan payments. It is a part of the Bedford Township, Mich., which also governs various other departments and facilities. The departments operated by the local government include finance, planning, building, fire, and parks and recreation. Its finance department is responsible for coordinating the accounting functions of the township. Its planning and zoning department is responsible for processing applications for rezoning requests, site plan approvals and subdivision plats. The fire department has more than 65 fire fighters who cover an area of over 35 square miles and protect a population of nearly 30,000 people.
